Aryanna stood in the middle of the room, surrounded by all the toys she had been playing with morning. Well, actually she was playing with her mother, the toys were just there to aid. That lasted up until Addison's cell went off, she was being called into work. It was no use bothering to convince her to stay, Aryanna knew that her mother had an important job and she learned to live with that fact. Her only problem was the person left in charge of her during Addison's absence....her brother.
Aiden was a whole 10 years older. He didn't look anything like Addison and he looked nothing like Mark, Aryanna's father (who she assumed was her brother's father as well.) Everything about him was intimidating. He was bigger than she was, he was loud and he enjoyed torturing her in cruel and disturbing ways. But of course, Aryanna would never tell her mother about this with the fear that she would be doubted.
She stood there and watched her mother walk out of the door and her brother stood tall beside the door, locking behind her. "It's just you and me, kid." he said with an evil smirk.
That's when she knew that specific after would be worst than all the ones in the past.

It had all started out so very innocently, it was the summer time, and Aiden didn't have school. Mommy had to work, and that ofcourse left Aiden to baby-sit. He had taken her to the swimming pool, dressed her in her Gucci two piece pink and black swim suit. It was the day that had changed the rest of her life forever. He had told her not to tell , threatned to kill mommy if she did. She couldn't tell. She couldn't save herself. Mommy was in trouble if she told. Mommy would be hurt. It didn't register in her mind that her big brother couldn't hurt her mommy. In her mind he quite possibly could hurt her. He was much bigger and stronger. His eyes were scarey and cruel. They made her have nightmares.
She looked up at her older brother, a look of hate in her eyes. She was strong willed just like her mohter, and although she was frightened of him, she seldom slumped down in defete. She always went down fighting.
"I'm going to Jennifer's house." She said. Jennifer lived right next door, and she was often allowed to go over, even when her mommy wasn't there to take her, she didn't have to cross any streets or anything, all she had to do was walk along the beach.
"Your not going naywhere." He said in a gruff voice as he grabbed her arm tightly, she winced in pain, as she twisted trying to get away from him.
"LET ME GO!" She demanded.

Nearly three hours later she was sitting at the corner of the couch, holding her legs to her chest while sobbing hysterically. She was in pain, she felt like her "area" was throbbing in pain and she couldn't not think about it. She couldn't not cry. Aiden was done with her at the point. Now he moved on to the alchohal supply in the kitchen. And Addison being Addison was not the celabate type. She literally had a collection of wine, champainge, tequila, vodka, scotch or anything else with alchohal in it. She was the type that like to own it and never look back to it and hence she never noticed that her collection was slowly decreasing in amount.
Aryanna heard the door open and saw her mother step in. Aiden instantly stepped away from the wine rack toward the pantry and pretended he was looking for his half-eaten pack of chips. He grabbed a random pack of something and shoved it in his mouth to hide his guilty expression.
"What were you guys up to?" she asked, placing her purse on the counter before walking toward her daughter.
"I um.." Aiden started with his mouth full. "She's crying cause she's hungry and I was looking for something for her to eat...then I ate it myself and she got hysterical." that was a brilliant lie. Pretty believable.
Aryanna tried to argue with him, to strip it to the truth in front of their mother but she didn't have time. Addison picked her up and began up the stairs, despite her kicks of protest. "I don't wanna stay with him anymore!" she whined in a high pitched peircing cry. "He's stupid and mean!"
Addison put her down on her bed and placed her hands on her hips, giving her daughter her undivided attention. But Aryanna had nothing more to say. She sat there with tears running down her face and looked up at the woman infront of her, waiting for her to do something, say something to comfort her.

"Sweetie it's not that bad." Addison tried, but she had had a long horriable day at work, it had only been three hours, but she was pulled into a last minute surgery and her patient dispite everything that she had done, died. She tried but she couldn't have sympothy for the little girl, not knowing what she has been through, she had really no reason to.
"Are you hungry?" Addison asked, trying to remain gentle with her voice. Aryanna shook her head no, and clung to her mother. Addison gave her a look and put her back down on her big girl princess bed. Addison looked at the clock on Aryanna's pale pink wall. It was after 10.
"Well if your not hungry then we are going to have bath time and then you are going to bed.Now stop crying." She said gathering Aryanna's pajamas and her favorite little towel.
___________________________
"Oww Mommy ! MOMMY OWWW!" Aryanna screamed sudenly hysterical as her mother gently tried to wash her inner thighs off.
"Aryanna what the---" Addison asked, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that her little girl had deep, round finger shaped bruises on the inside of her thighs. Addison closed her eyes.
"Aryanna what happend?" She asked gently.
"Nothing!" Aryanna screamed growing more and more frantic by theh moment, her face was bright red as she whailed. She couldn't tell her mommy she just couldn't if she told mommy would die.
Addison closed her eyes again. And slowly lifted the little girl out of the tub, wrapping her in a warm fluffy towel, and despite her kicking and screaming somehow mannaged to get her dryed off and dressed. She held the young girl close depsite her own fatigue trying to calm her, but to her dismay nothing worked.
"If you don't telll me what's wrong with you then how in the hell am I suppose to help you?" She asked her little girl. Tears filling her own eyes, as she laid the screaming child down on her bed. There was nothing she could do to help her.

"I want morphine." she continued whining. Addison exhaled sharply and stood there with her brow raised.
She looked down at her daughter and replied, "You don't even know what morphine is."
"Do too! It's like tyelenol on steroids." she answered.
"You don't know what steriods are."
"I do! Aiden talks about them all the time. They make you huge and strong. Do you think he's on steroids, Mommy? Cause he's huge...and strong." that's when she realized she'd said too much. Addison's eyes widened in realization. Although she doubted that her son had potential to hurt his own sister. But still, it would make sense. She was afriad of him, she didn't want to be alone with him, she was bruised and suspecting him of steroids.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked her mother's after a few minutes of silence between them. She tugged on her mother's Dolce and Gabana shirt, almost causing stretching at the hem. Addison didn't move away defensively for the sake of her shirt, she stood still and gently took her daughter's hand by the wrist and looked down into her eyes.
"What happen?" she repeated again.
"Nothing!" Aryanna screamed. "I dropped a ball on my lap."
"A brick ball?" Addison asked sarcastically.
"I don't know what that is but...Shut up! I don't know, okay? I don't know what happen. It's an owie. Maybe a fell and I just forget about it or something." she answered convinsingly, yet she couldn't let go of her mother. She continued clinging to her as if it was her only method of survival. "Just don't leave." she begged.

Addison held onto her daughter, holding her close , not even minding that she was back talking and had just old her own mother to shut up, which would typically end her up being grounded or atleast getting her favoirte toy taken away. She gently stroked her little girl's hair. She drew in a deep breath before taking her daughter, and forcing her to look at her.
"I'll make you a deal." She said her voice gentle.
"Waht kindave deal?" Aryanna asked, she was skeptiacal. The last time her mommy had made her a deal it wound up with Aryanna sitting in her mother's office all day long being bored.
"I'll stay here with you if you tell me what happened...."Addison trailed off...."The TRUTH Aryanna. If you lie to me one more time I'm leaving, and you'll have to deal with your problems on your own." She hated threatning her daughter, but she was so tired, she didn't know if she had the strenght to deal with any more drama.
Aryanna looked at her mother, tears filled her eyes once again as she clung to her. "I can't tell you mommy! I have an owwie and I can't tell you what happened." She whinned. her fingernails digging into her mother's skin in a desperate attempt for her mother not to leave her. Adidson didn't move away, didn't even whince in pain.
"Why can't you tell me?" She asked her voice stern.
"Becasue he'll, he'll...."her voice trembled. "kill you..." She whispered, finally before desolving into tears, her whole body shakeing. as she collapsed onto her mother, exausted.

Addison held onto even tighter after hearing her daughter's words. She stroked her back soothingly while rocking her back and forth to lull her. "Sweetheart, if someone is threatening you like that than you've got to tell me who it is. I promise you, no one is going to kill me with great ease, especially not some idiot who is hurting a denfenceless 4 year old because he doesn't have the balls to touch anyone bigger."
"You don't get, Mommy. You'll never believe me, he said so! He said you'd laugh then have me committed. I don't know what that means but.... I swear I'm not lying. He really is there. And he really did say all those things."
"Who is 'he', Aryanna?" Addison asked once more.
"But you have to promise not to do anything, or say anything. You can't make a big deal about it, okay?" she asked, Addison nodded although it was obvious that she wasn't going to let the matter go unsolved. "It's..." she stood on her bed to be at eye level with her mother and motioned for her to come closer. Aryanna leaned into her side and whispered the name into her ear. "It's Aiden." she admitted, feeling the grip of Addison's arm on her waist before looser until her arm hung by her side and she took a step back, leaving the four year old standing here on her mattress.
Addison didn't respond. She stood there for a few second before turning and walking out the door with a blank, numb look on her face. Aryanna jumped off the bed and ran to the doorway screaming, "You promised you wouldn't leave me!"
After waiting there for a while, still in tears she walked back to her bed alone and climbed in beneath the sheets, eventually crying herself to sleep

"I'm going to kill you....." Addison screamed. The teenager had been sleeping, and had awoken to his mother's hands on his throat, strangling him, cutting off his oxeygen. He looked up at her panic in his eyes, mocked with confused innocnece.
She held her hands tighter still on his throat squeezing until she could see him slipping inbetween cousiousness. Inbetween life and death. She let go. He looked up at her, too shocked, to move.
"What did you do to her?!?!" She asked him her voice full of rage. She held his baseball bat in her hand threatningly.
"What the fuck are you talking about mom?" He asked her in fake innocnece. The turth was he knew exactly what she was talking about. That little bitch of a sister had confessed. She had told her mother what he did to her.
"YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT." Addison screamed in a rage. She was sitting ontop of him. He tired to get up, being stronger than herself he knocked her to the ground. She stood up quickly. And hit him square in the balls with the baseball bat, he fell to the floor in pain.
"WHat did you do to her?" She asked again. "We can play this game all night if you want to." She said in a threatning tone. "Your just like your fucking father arn't you?" She asked, he didn't respond and she hit him again. "Arn't you?"
"This is child abuse! I'ma call 9-1-1" Her son threatned.
"Go for it....your sister tried that in the store once, I hit her so hard she dialed 9-1-9." Addison looked at her son. "Besides i would love for you to go to jail. I hope a big bald man named bubba picks you to be his cell mate. You'll see how it feels to be violated."

"Have you lost what little sanity you had, woman? What does my father have anything to do with anything?! It's not my fault you were a slut and have no idea who he is. What does that have to do with this?" he yelled back. "And just incase you haven't noticed, I'm big enough to fold you in half and put you in my pocket. Just cause you can swing a bat doesn't mean anything. If I wanna dial 911, I'll dial it. Hell... I'm strong enough to have you dial for me."
He stepped away from her because in reality he wasn't bigger than her. Her was a skinny and somewhat muscular and semi-tall. She could probably take him down by stabbing him with her stilettos. "I have no idea what you're talking about, okay? I didn't do anything. I was asleep! What would I have done?" he said defensively. "And as for my father. I don't know who he is, I'm pretty sure you fucked around with a handfull of people that week and can't put a name to the face...so don't go blaming me for being like him. You coulda aborted me had you been so innocent and unprepared."
Addison dropped the bat in her because she wasn't doing to beat her own child to death...despite the temptation. She stood still and silent, although she didn't take her eyes away from his, no matter how painfull the sensation was. Because everytime she looked at him is was like she was staring at *his* face. And sometimes she did wonder why she didn't abort the fetus like everyone advised her to do.
"What, Dr. Know-It-All? Cat got your tongue... or are you just speechless because you know I'm right and you worked yourself into a dead end."

"Your not right...." Addison said quietly. She looked down at the ground and took a deep breath. She looked up at her son again. The memories from her childhood clouding her vision. It was as if she was there living her nightmare all over again. It was as if she were four years old again, hiding under the covers, trying to become invisible so he would leave her alone. It was as if she were seven running outside into the orchards, trying to hide amongst the trees. Falling it her knees and praying to God , so that he could make her a bird, so she could have the strenght and the ability to fly far far away. She was ten, staying home because she was too afraid of anyone finding out her secret. She was dirty. She was horrible. He made her feel so disqusting. So unpure. She was 13 again, in a home for unwed mothers, as her belly grew bigger and she could feel the consiquences of her impuritys, of her secret she was never able to tell. She was 14 and almost bleed todeath as she pushed her brother's eight pound sin out of her body. She was 28 and finding out that her entire life was repeting itself.
"Your wrong about everything...." She said forcing herself to remain calm, but the undelt issues of her past brought tears to her eyes, she looked away, hurridly as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Your father raped me, from the time I was four years old to the time I was 14 and moved out on my own." Addison said, she had her trust fund to fall back on, and her parents so egar to get rid of her, gave her trust fund and signed away the papers legally amincipanting her, leaving her and the victim of her childhood on their own.
"If you EVER touch her again, you won't have to worry about calling 911. I will kill you." She promised. Her voice threatning, the voice that had scared him every since he was a child.
"Your exactly like your father."

"I really hate you, you know that right?" he answered. "What's the point of any of this in the first place? You tell me that and expect me to feel bad or something. Because I don't. You prolly had it coming. I'm not suddenly gonna become this good little boy that obeys your every word. I don't care who you are or what you've been through. If you were gonna hate me why didn't you fucking kill me the second you saw me?!" he screamed
"And yeah, so what I touched her. Big deal. I was horny she was there. It's not like we're full on siblings. It was between you and her... so be glad I chose her."
"She's four, Aiden."
"Really? Wow, and they didn't give you an MD straigh out of high school, because you're just filled with knowledge." he replied sarcastically. "You won't kill me, no matter how much you hate me or my father. I'm your kid, you pushed me out of you. You're my mother, I'm your flesh and blood. And you're entire life is dedicated to saving kids, you wouldn't kill me. So in reailty...you have nothing. I could do anything I want to her and you can never do anything about that."
Aiden fell back on the couch and crossed his arms with a disgusting smirk on his face. "And she's good fuck, let me tell you that. Must have gotten it from you, I've been told you're quite talented in that department."
"That is so disturbing on so many levels."
"The truth always hurts." Aiden answered. "And I hope it hurts to know that your first born child has no respect for you. In fact, I wouldn't care if you died. I could come home, see your body on the floor with a bullent in your head and blood all over and still not care. I could probably be the responsible for the bullent lodged in there and not give it a second thought. It's not even possible to explain how much I hate you, even before I knew what you just told me. I've hated you since I was old enough to understand hate. And you've been blind enough not to notice it."
He did have a point, he always showed his contempt. She just wanted to believe that she was hiding her pain enough to raise him with the love a mother was to have for her child. She would be lying is she said she didn't care about him. Like he said, he was after all her son, her flesh and blood. Despite how he came to be.
"What do you have to say to that, mother?" the last word was obviously meant for mockery of her the title she'd assumed the minute he was born. He couldn't have made it more obvious that it was meant to piss her off more than she already was.

"Get out of my house." Addison said, she wasn't thinking clearly but all she knew is that she wanted him out. She wanted him out of her house, that very instant. She couldn't think, couldn't breathe while he was in there. She couldn't function properly knowing that he could possibly hurt her daughter again, that he had hurt her little girl in the first place. She didn't care where he went, or what he did, as long as he was out of her house.
He stood there, looking at her. As if he were expecting her to cave. She wouldn't cave. She wouldn't put her daughter through what she went through. She wouldn't hurt her daughter the way her parents hurt her by not believing her.
"MOMMY! ! ! MOMMYYYY!!! MOMMYYY!!!!" She heard her daughter screaming in a paniced tone from her bedroom. Addison looked from her son to the sound of the terrified screams.
"Leave now, If you are still here by the time I get back downstairs I am calling the police. Do you understand?" Addison asked, she gave her son a final look before walking away, and up the stairs where she found her daughter tangled in her sheets, thrashing and turning in her sleep.
"Aryanna....Arayanna.." She called gently, waking up the little girl. Tears were streeming down the child's face, and she clung to her mothers warm body, knowing htat as long as her mother was there that she was safe. She didn't know if she would ever feel safe again.
Aiden came into the room, which caused Aryanna's frightened sobs to turn into terrified paniced hyperventalateing sobs.
"What do you want?" Addison asked. "Did I not tell you to leave?"
"Your just dying to test out the juvinile detention system arn;t you?" Addison asked her voice sarcastic. "20 years to life sounds pleasing to you dosn't it?" She asked in a facetious way.

"You're not serious." he answered. "You would never call the cops on me. I'm your son. We're all gonna go to sleep and wake up and forget all about this."
"I swear on everything I have that I will call the police if you're not out of my house in 3 minutes. Go take whatever clothes you want and leave. Touch anything else and you'll find your ass in court." she answered.
"What about money? You can't kick me out of the street with no money. I'll starve to death and I can't live on the streets I need to get a room somewhere. I'll freeze to death out there."
"I'm not bank of america. You want a money, go find a job." she answered.
"A job? I'm 14, I'm not allowed to work." he answered. "It's your responsibility to finance me."
She's looked away from him, directing her attention back to her daughter to whisper something to her to soothe her. Aiden still stood there, watching them. "At least tell me who this so called rapist father of mine is. I'll go by him, I'm sure he'll be more than glad to see me."
Aryanna looked curiously at her mother after hearing her brother's words. She picked her up off Addison's shoulder to look into her eyes. "Where's he going, Mommy?" she asked. She was too young to understand what was going on in whole. She understood the basic foundation of it. But it was beyond her, or anyone else for that matter in regards to what came next.

"He's going away so that he can never hurt you again." She whispered to her daughter before sitting her on the bed and looking to her son again.
"You have two minutes and fourty five seconds." She said looking to her son, her expression cross. "Unleass you want to "play" the game that we played earlier with my high heel shoe up your ass I would suggest that you leave." Aryanna looked at her her eyes wide, she had never heard her mommy say a bad word before.
Aiden just stood there looking at her as if she had gone crazy. Addison having enough took out her cell phone and called the LA Special Victims Unit.
"I would like to report a rape." she said into the phone her voice unwavering as she gave the detectives her address and phone number.

Aiden slowly backed away after realizing that Addison really would turn him in. He didn't bother getting the clothes that he was permitted to get, instead he turned and ran toward the starts toward the exit. He didn't bother looking back, he didn't have time to. He needed to get as far as he can as soon as he could.
Meanwhile, Addison finished her call before getting back to her daughter. She sat at the edge of the bed and wiped away her daughter's tears. "We have to take you to see a doctor tomorrow, Aryanna."
If there was one thing Aryanna hated, that was doctors as ironic as it sounded. She sat up instantly, almost flew into her mother's arms. "No!" she exclaimed. "I promise, I'm fine. I don't need to go to the doctor. Besides, you're a doctor. You see that I'm fine. Right? That counts."
Addison sighed, trying her best to exlain to a four year how serious this matter was. Of course, Aryanna didn't care. Nothing anyone could say would advocate her approval of visiting a doctor. But eventually she gave up. Her daughter's only responce at the end was: "But you have to stay by my side the whole time, okay? You have to promise." she begged and like any one with a heart, Addison agreed.
The next morning she found herself at her mother's practice lying on a table with her legs being held up by stirrups, which she found odd. She was holding onto her mother's hand as tight as she could to make sure she didn't go away.
"I've never done this on a four year old Addison." Naomi warned as she sat on the stool at the end of the table. "I don't even think they make speculms small enough to use on her. And I doubt a regular one would do the trick because...it's big and she's not. Have you seen the damage there is?"
"You think I looked?"
"She's your kid, she's four. You say it like you weren't changing her diaper a year and a half a ago." Nia responded, forgetting the fact that Addison had potty trained both her children before they turned two because she hated changing diapers. Something caught her attention at that point, "Addison, have you noticed anything specific lately? Fever, sore throat?"
"I was sick a few days ago." Aryanna answered in her mother's place.
Naomi nodded. "Addie, check her lymph nodes for swelling please." she directed. Addison hesitated before pulling her hand away from her daughter and checking her neck from swelling. "Swollen?"
"Yes, Nia. What are you getting at her? That's she's got flu you can diagnose through her vagina?"
"She's got chancre sores, Addison. She's got syphilis. And it does not look good. She needs round the clock monitering, IV antibiotics. We need to get her to a hospital and check her in ASAP before she contracts an infection through the sores."
Aryanna didn't like what she was hearing, not that she understood it. But she wasn't fond of the words 'hospital' and 'check in' so close together. It could never mean anything good.
